nothing much to update on really. the Silky Silver project is currently on hold for now...yesterdae jogged to church via 179 and back via 242, past shell station and past JP.

on tuesday did e same thing but i completed in 1hour. last night i managed to jog frm church to JP via 242 route non-stop....a lot of improvement i guess...form 1hr drop to 45min. praise God, glory to glory! =)

well, tom is cg and for some people, itll be e most meaningful and unforgettable one if u noe who im referring to. yea, we'll miss u guys and gals...how true it is....that people/things become more valuable/treasured the moment u lose them...^^ nevertheless, hope we can stay in touch...thru BS, post service activities etc....:D

well, gotta catch up on my bible reading soon. left psms 120 onwards. and my parents will be in batam. yes ill...be alone to look after e house. ;) well...hoping to finish my flash header and buttons and a new GUI layout for my nav/links soon...:) manz everyone is changing blogskin hahaha....

yup...im excited for service this weekend oso...yup yup...yeah! ^_^

My first JOG in 2 years!!!! Bible Reading Started...Ending soon

today i decided to chiong my B.Reading cus i wanna make e effort to cultivate e habit of reading e Word. i also dun wan to let God and Evan down..:) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me...XD

today finished e book of Revelation in 1hour. after dat did a short PnW....spent time in God's presence. now im done up to psms 119 in 1 day. intend to finish Sept's B.reading in 2 days, which is by tomoro. =) Faith puts no limit on God and God puts no limit on faith. ^^

i really enjoyed being with the Holy Spirit...i feel that our relationship is much closer now. =D

and FINALLY...after TWO YEARS!!!! i went jogging! muahahaha...it was GREEEEAT.

i still feel e adrenaline overloading in my body now wahahaha. feeling high..lols who needs alchohol/drugs to get u high? lol jus exercise man! :D

heres my journey:

10.00pm: after watchin ch8 show, left house and started my jog. intended to do my usual 2 rounds round my block.

10.10pm: went downstairs did stretching. Holy Spirit came to me. felt presence of God. i felt so happy...i didnt have to jog alone. I got the Holy Spirit with me :) thanks Friend, i love you...=)

10.15pm: Holy Spirit suggested a crazy idea which i thought was rather interesting...He told me why not i try going to church (179 route), making a U-turn via 242 route back home?

so i say, why not? id love to try something new...:D so i did a warmup by brisk walking to church via 179 route. i walked and had a conversation with the Holy Spirit at e same time, felt e presence of God =)

Around 10.30-10.40pm: reached church. decided to start jogging.

Around 1100pm: reached Shell station behind Jurong Point. on e way went pass 3 kopitiams, 1 24-hr kopitiam (church one), and 1 24-hr 7-11 outlet..hahaha food was everywhere! lol...tempting mmmm...hahaha

did a cool down by walking from Shell (behind JP) back home. chatted with the Holy SPirit at e same time :D

Around 1115pm: reached home took a shower :D

Conversation with the Holy SPirit

-He gave me a challenge. to be able to walk to Jurong East and back EVERYDAY instead of my regular 2-round jogs twice a week.
-Of course i was excited...but He said "No, andrew...take one step at a time.." so i said ok. b4 sch starts...i shld be able to complete this goal! yea....glory to glory! :D

I sortof had a time joking with the Holy Spirit, we had a fun time together. i told Him, since youre a God that does amazingly, abundantly above all we can ask or think, do You think You can help me lose a few extra calories??? hahahahaha....

there was silence...

urm...also...since u say that when we take 1 step ull take 10000 steps...so Lord, i take this simple step u help me lose extra can? (ive nv prayed b4 jogging b4...NEVER...until now lol :p)

Holy Spirit smiled....

dun smile like dat le....say something....LOL since u created e whole universe with your Word. im sure losing a few extra teeny-weeny calories is nothing to You right? heh..heh...

anyway...dun worry. i wont tell anyone u helped me....;p but when i DO lose extra weight bcos of You, i promise you ill give testimony and shame the devil for making people fat....even though its not his fault :x

"Andrew..." (He smiles with a bigger smile this time....puts His arms around me as i jogged) "Yes, Lord?" "Why dont you start by reading your Bible daily?" (i sensed a ':P' emoticon somewhere...^^)

THOUGHTS

Holy Spirit is a nice guy. maybe ppl shld stop looking at God as a long bearded angry lightning shooter that sits on a chair of thunder with the staff of Wrath in His hands....and thinking of God as someone who allows bad things to happen, sickness, failures, wars, etc.

The truth is God gave mankind the freedom of choice! your life today, is a result of a decision u made yesterday.

one of the revelations God revealed to me is:

God is IN control of ALL things (bcos He knows all things), but God doesnt TAKE control of ALL things because there are some who reject Him and because of freewill that GOd has given to mankind....the freedom to CHOOSE.

There is nothing bad about GOd and there is nothing good about the Devil

Mr S.A. Tan is a:

Ugly, cannot-make-it Choir Leader who cant sing and dance (dats y His music are noisy and sounds as if the singers are constipated ;p with no reference to any sort =)) who is scared of little boys and girls carrying a small Book and having a Big Daddy that smiles always....and says "I Love You".

more than jus our Lord and Helper, the Holy SPirit is our closest Friend. and puhlease....Hes not THAT old. Holy Spirit resembles Jesus and Jesus resembles God. Jesus was only 30plus when He left for Heaven. Hes younger than most people man!!! lol....

that is why we are lively in e presence of God, that is why we never get tired of worshipping Him and giving to His kingdom. because where e Spirit of GOd is there is liberty, there is freedom, joy, faith, hope, love...e presence of God is youthful and energetic.

when e Holy Spirit comes upon you, ull never burn out..youll burn ON!! =)


Well....im getting hungry......*^_^*

Quiet time....

today's QT was slightly different....i jus played this song which ure hearing now. and i jus felt e presence of God saturating my room..

and the presence of the Holy Spirit remained on me....for a loooooong period of time. i had a good time, jus soaking in e presence of God. and i jus communed with the Holy Spirit. its more than a relationship....its a love relationship! =)

i would jus sit there, thought about the Holy Spirit and i would just sit there and say to Him, "I love you..." then He would just reply back "I Love You" and wrap His arms around me and fill me with His presence, then i would say I love You again...the His presence jus clothed me again and again....

so much love....so much presence....so much joy and peace.....sometimes we are often too hectic and we often rush through our QT. we should slow down once in awhile and let the HS move...XD

jus now as i was typing this entry....i stopped for awhile and admired the Holy Spirit and loved Him again....this time, i started to tear...literally. it was a different kind of tearing. its not tearing not only bcos of e presence of God, but also because im really grateful to Jesus for laying down His life for me...it was tears of joy, tears of love, tears of gratitude. tears that said, "Thank you for loving me...thank you for dying for me....thank you..."

"I love you to e ends of the earth.....i cant live 1 day w/o you Holy Spirit....I love u and u love me...we are a match made in Heaven for eternity. Holy Spirit im truly, madly, deeply in love with You....yet i wanna love You even more...."

"Holy Spirit fill me with Your love.....i dun wanna think of anything else now....but Your love...Your grace...all of You. Holy Spirit rain down on me....rain down your dreams on me, rain down your visions, your anoiniting, your power on me...."

Dunno y jus now as i was having a date with the Holy Spirit...i was moved to pray for kexin, for pranee, for john...i didnt know what to pray. i jus prayed as the Holy Spirit led me. i dun really know what they are going through in their lives, in their secret world that only they themselves and only GOd knows...

nevertheless i jus prayed and be obedient.....i felt the Holy Spirit saying, they need your prayers...

well...QT was a good time...and im still in e presence of God ;) im startin to feel e hols-boredom now...no more games to play...nowhere to go....lol

well, id better start my sept bible readin tom....and i intended to jog tomoro. every week im jus looking forward to BS, to CG and svc....where i can spend time with God and with my dear CGms. i feel that God is going to do something great soon...

Attracting the Holy Spirit; Atmosphere and Dreams

honestly, this is e first time i used finish an A4 size paper for my notes!!!! i was like cramping my notes at e bottom lol....service was great. message was great, fellowship was great. yup. sunday is e best day of my week! yeah...xD

SERMON NOTES

2 Kings 4:8, 9-10
-Giving makes room for a relationship -> a relationship is about giving
-'woman' represents the church; 'servant' represents the Holy Spirit
-We can never run away from the Holy Spirit -> He is everywhere

When the Holy Spirit passes you by, DONT just let Him pass by, GRAB HOLD of Him!

Give God the Upper Room of your heart!

4 ATTRIBUTES THAT ATTRACT THE HOLY SPIRIT (2 Kings 4)

1) Bed = place of rest (rest of faith)
-Faith is an attitude
-Faith is the opposite of fear -> Both are magnets
-Whatever you have faith in u attract
-Whatever you fear, u attract as well.

2) Table = fellowship
-Holy Spirit is a person -> He carries a presence.
-He has feelings, He communes, He has a personality.

3) Chair = throne
-God's power travels through an atmosphere of faith, but the presence of God travels through an atmosphere of worship.
-When we worship in SPIRIT and in truth, the Holy Spirit gets attracted to our spirit.

4) Lampstand = Word of God (Light)
-The atmosphere that you live in will shape your life.
-The culture u live in will be the culture you live out.

3 THINGS THAT BUILD UP AN ATMOSPHERE

1) The words you speak
2) The attitudes you carry
3) The songs you sing

-v11: youll nv know when the Holy Spirit will show up.
-> The most important part of your life, which is also the point in ur life when e Holy Spirit is most likely to bring forth His power into your life, is when u are at ur lowest point in your life!

Dont live on second-hand revelation, youve got to experience God for yourselves! -> dun depend on others, be it moods or their faith and do not copy others.

God has a solution and a Rhema specifically for you and you alone, at the right time, in e right place, at e right circumstances. -> hear God for yourselves!

God is not a formula, Christianity is not just a set of moral values and philosophies, but an encounter, an experience and a relationship with God.

Dont just know God in your heart, youve got to experience Him in your hearts and in your lives...

-v15-17: your destiny is not dependent on your friends, on the people around you....your destiny is dependent on the Holy Spirit.
-God has an appointed time for you and you alone -> He is always on time! In a relationship, trust and communication is the key!
-Dont ever think God has no time for you, God has all the time in the world! He owns everything in the universe living and non-living.

-v18-20: Why does a dream from God dies?

-ANSWER: A dream dies so that God can resurrect it in a whole new supernatural dimension in front of everyone. So that when people see the dream die, and THEN suddenly resurrect, they will say it IS a miracle. That with man, it is impossible but with God, ALL things are possible, and bring glory to God!

-Jesus was the dream for the world, yet He died so that now He has been risen and is seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven and at His name every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.

-God allowed the Dream of the world to die, so that He can resurrect it in front of all who thinks it is impossible and bring the Dream to a whole new supernatural dimension thus glorifying God.

-v21-22: Always MAKE ROOM for the Holy Spirit.
-God will never move unless you move, and God wont interfere in your lives unless you allow Him to.

DREAMS

-2 kings 4:34

1) Your dream must be SPIRIT-BAPTIZED
-Its not by your own strengths or abilities, but it is by the Spirit, Presence and the Power of God!

2) Your dream must be must speak God's WORD
-If a dream only speaks of how good YOU are, YOUR talents, YOUR abilities, then u can be assured, that dream may be successful, but it will not leave a legacy behind for the generations to come and it will not have an impact in society, in the world.

-The world may pass away, but God's words will NEVER pass away.

3) Your dream must carry the VISION of God
-God is for ever. -> Once ur dream is rooted in God's vision, u can be assured it WILL come to pass bcos what God calls for, He also provides for; whatever God started, He will bring it to completion and no weapon formed against it shall prosper!

-Do NOT put God in a box! -> When you limit God, you limit your dream.

4) Your dream must have God's HANDS
-It must accomplish what God has intended. -> If God is for you, no one can be against you.

5) Your dream must burn with the FIRE of God
-If you have the Holy Spirit, ull always burn ON, and ull never burn OUT!

-v35: the Holy Spirit must come upon you.

6) An anointed dream sees the VISION of God
-Jesus, the son of God hungered for e presence of God, He hungered for the Holy Spirit.
-Even though He was the Son of God, He wanted John to baptize Him. He told Himself: Whatever John has, I also want.

-Because of His Hunger:

i) Heaven opened and a voice spoke, "This is my son, whom I love. In Him I am well pleased..."
-Hunger for the Holy Spirit opens Heaven's doors and allows God to speak the Word, the Rhema into your lives. -> One word from God and your life will never be the same again!

ii) The Dove remained on Jesus
-When u have the hunger, the desire to grab hold of the Holy Spirit, to be dependent on Him, the Holy Spirit will come in power and anoint you and your dreams in power. Not only that, Jesus' hunger attracted the Holy Spirit so much that it remained on Him!

THOUGHTS

Dont just know God as Lord, dont jus know Jesus, but know that the Holy Spirit is Lord as well. After He is the third head in the Triune God.

It is because of Him that you have e strength to pull through every tough situation, it is because of Him that you can be blessed, it is because of Him, that you have the breath of life in you everyday when u wake up.

God is looking for true worshippers. God is looking for hungry people today. Will you say to the Holy Spirit today, "Thank you for being my friend. Let me be your friend!"?

Dont jus be a dry, religious believer that has no power in your life, make a choice to be a disciple today, make e choice to be a true worshipper, serious and on fire for God, someone that will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, someone whos willing to take up his/her cross daily and follow Him! =)

Breakthrough in ministry! After 2 months...finally!

well. as always....because of e high level of excellency required in my ministry. every week WITHOUT FAIL, ill fast and pray and seek God with all my heart. these are the things tt ill pray for every week when i serve:

1. pray for wisdom
2. pray for discernment
3. pray for favor
4. pray for e ability to think fast and act fast
5. pray that equip will be in good condition
6. pray for God's strength, protection and anointing.
7. last but not least, pray for e peace, joy and e calmness of God so that ill be able to focus on everything that i do and bring glory to God =)

yes!!! i HAVE!! a prayer list lol....like wad Ps said, let your requests be as specific as possible...so well...i believe that's specific enough lol...^_^

what evan said is true, im 100% dependent on God in anything and everything.

well here are some reasons why:

1. God's ways are higher, so if i allow Him to move, chances are that my plans is GUARANTEED a success when i let God take control.

2. if i want to serve at my maximum capacity, ill need a higher level of anointing oso...

3. its e standard of excellence that tells it all. =) u want better results, go to a better Source. never rely on your own strength. like Jesus, we mus learn to be TOTALLY dependent on e Holy Spirit.

that is when ull be guaranteed success in all tt u do. :D and when God sees that ure faithful in e little things, He will make u ruler over many things. and that whatever ur hand touches shall prosper and wherever ur feet threads upon, it shall be blessed ;)

now to the main point hahaha....

ive been servin in sound ministry for 2 months plus oredy....all this while i started small...i was doin BS, cafe and rooftop. and i nv despised small beginnings ;)

so last friday as i served. a door has been opened for me to finally start servin in e childrens' church main service!!!! yeah!!! so excited, so many new things to learn but of course it comes with bigger responsibility as well xD

hoping to serve in B4 one day.....^_^

without God, it wouldnt be possible. that is why i believe in e power of prayer MIXED WITH fasting. =) its not by might nor power, but by e Spirit =)

well, im excited for service later, ps kong is back. ;) hehes...

oh ya....i found my evil twin literally!!! yes!!! lol...jus ask me for his pic haha. same eyes, same nose, same face, same shoulder build, same palmsize, same HAIR somemore...lol

only his mouth is wider and his ear lobes are longer and shaped differently....haha

Interesting Facts of our church building

i was jus browsin thru e church's website http://www.chc.org.sg when i came across this page. well, its not e first time though...but i feel like puttin it down ^^

1. Largest Column-Free Sanctuary
The main auditorium, with an area of 1,700 square metres, is the largest column-free church sanctuary in the Southeast Asian Peninsula.

2. Largest "Transfer Beam" in the World
6 floors of the building are resting on the "ceiling" of the column-free auditorium. The ceiling, technically known as a "transfer beam," is the largest ceiling structure in the world with an area of 3,500 square metres and a depth of 3 metres. Sato Kogyo and Bachy Soletanche jointly built it.

3. First Titanium-Clad Building in Asia
The front facade of the building is clad with the same titanium that wraps the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. The renowned museum is reputed to be the most beautiful contemporary architecture in the world today. According to the Swiss museum specialists, this building in Singapore is the first architecture with such titanium cladding in Asia.

4. Largest Church Building
From the lowest basement to the top of the steeple cross, the building is 54 metres in height, or equivalent to 18-20 floors of a HDB flat. This is the biggest church structure in the Southeast Asian Peninsula.

went for BS today and nope, e title of this post is not what ive learnt in FT1. haha FT1 we learnt abt e 10 effects of God's Word. but as i was watchin one of e videos in our chc website. i found this message which was rather good.

7 characteristics of a child

-child-like is NOT childishness.

-u can be 50 years old, yet behave childishly.

-by 15 u shld have e ability to reason, to have abstract understanding and have e ability to analyse.

1. The childish man is the center of his own universe.

-luke 15:11

-self centered, does what he wants; his own way.

-doesnt care about people around him.

-talks about himself...ME, ME, ME

2. The childish man is insensitive to others.

-2 kings 2:23-243.

The childish man demands his own way.

-luke 7:31, 33, 35

-complains when his needs are not met.

-"When i dont get it my way...I'll..." -> this and that.

-he gives excuses / justifies himself / non decisive

-love desires to benefit others at e expense of self because love desires to give.

4. The childish man throws temper tantrums.

-luke 9:51, 53

-meekness is not a sign of weakness!

-a strong person has self control, a weak person has no control.

-e.g. it takes strength to go e extra mile, e turn e other side when u are slapped on one side, etc.

-a real man is a real gentlemen. (strong YET gentle)

5. The childish man is irresponsible.

-he refuses to accept responsiblity for his actions -> stop blaming others!

-in relationships, finances, education, career, etc.

-gen 3

-real men live by CONVICTION, not by convenience!!!

-dun jus seek involvement...GO AFTER COMMITMENT!

-seek maturity -> make e decision to grow.

-a kid jus does what he thinks is right. -> never thinks about consequences

S5 and S6 combined prayer meeting

before PM, went to return WC3 FT to cheesebun then went to bus stop to wait for bus to go church. walk halfway kexin sms me to meet at interchange....so i thought:

hmm....since she'll take some time to reach PLUS the MRT station is walking distance away PLUS if i wait here likely bus full...so why not? =)

so i walked 5-10 min to e MRT station cus i was 1-2 busstops away. met kexin at interchange exit den went for PM.

when i reached there, shin, evan, carmen were oredy dere....and OH! im e only brudder dere! ok...nvm still can find someone to pray with...den halfway thru OH! yongren! ure here! lols. he last minute managed to leave early for PM...praise God! kexin oso last minute able to make it, praise God! indeed God is never late.

if u love God and u love wad God is doing and want to be a part of it, God will definitely make sure ure able to join Him because He loves you.

pow had a fall....hope ure alright :) pam had work....peng and wayne servin. met wendy later on after e PM cus she was sittin somewhere else.

PM was good, indeed mus stop strolling and walking liao....we movin in december. its time to start running and sprinting! ESPECIALLY for those who have not completed your goals for this year....its time to start running! so excited....so many came for e zone outreach and many were saved and integrated.

october we havin another outreach program...dun exactly know what it is yet. but WYZ....(ok for e sake of our dear pammie, i shant call him WYZ)...*ahem ps zhuang wants S5 and S6 to be packed, every seat taken before we move over to EXPO. its time to focus on e Lord of e harvest! yea...XD

i heard at e end of this year CHC is havin a countdown in EXPO....ill be like wa!!!! by then we cross 20000 ppl how to have countdown? lol....but i noe with God ALL things r possible...lol THAT IS WHY WE NEED A NEW STADIUM! lols....yeah..! :D

indeed lets not make this year a "What if" year......but a "But God..." year and a year of fulfillment and as we look back with tears in our eyes, we can truly say that it was worth it ;)

AFTER PRAYER MEETING

after PM went to mac to makan with wendy, kexin and her fren frm drama and choir oso. den a strange thing happened. we all decided to grab a bit esp WENDY! cus she nv take her lunch...wanted to use EZlink card cus we outta cash....then e lady say, "SORRY OUR EZLINK MACHINE IS SPOILT..." lols

havin eaten my dinner....(i can hear e wendy-recorder playing now...:p) i jus wanted a small bite. so since i got a 1 dollar coin so i bought an apple pie...and e sisters' reaction was like.....ohkay.....i shant say anymore hahahaha....

it was so funny...everyone was like broke and wanted food. den God heard our cry for food!!! suddenly e lady came back to us and say, "DO YOU WANT SOME DESSERT? THE EZLINK MACHINE HAS BEEN FIXED!" yay! lol....its a MIRACLE!!!!

e scene was so funny...it was like crying out to God, "Daddy, i want macdonalds..." lol....;)

so e hungry sisters went to buy their food and returned. both of them couldnt finish their food so i decided to help to finish it. (*wendy-recorder playing in the background...lalala~ lols)

after dat walked kexin to busstop den came home.

service was great....healings signs and wonders indeed followed e Word in EVERY service. mans...i shldve gone for every svc. anywaez...e messages were good. dun really have e notes bcos e messages are rather short but impactful.

was late for svc today T_T. left hse at 1040, missed bus bcos of 'modified' time lapse and SBS timetable due to the downpour. worse still, waited 30min for e next bus and when it came, it was full! so i phoned my mum to drive me dere.

by e time i reached dere, praise has ended...but e worship was good. i was deeply touched by e presence and e power of God durin worship. after wad happened yesterdae...that long fight with e devil and e long fight with myself....tink i only shared with seth and kexin. and only God knew my struggle yesterdae. as i was worshippin God....His presence touched me and God said to me,

"Andrew, you are stronger than a lot of people. Through these times you were in your worst, but u still regarded Me as your best....you are strong, and I will do great works through you..."

those 3 words that melted my entire being...."YOU ARE STRONG" at tt point of time...e painful memories of wad happened last night....e painful memories and the battle scars i fought with e devil last night, flashed in my memory. and when i heard God spoke those 3 words...YOU ARE STRONG...

i began to cry....tears flowed down my eyes...and i told God...even though all will forsake me, I will still love you, even though i maybe goin through hell, i still love you and your praise shall continually be in my mouth. even though my world collapses around me, i will still say to you I love...even if i dun feel you...i will still say i love you...

indeed e harvest IS plentiful, but e labourers are few. lets PRAY to God, that we will be THAT labourer, for His kingdom and His glory.

many a times, we sow and we sow and we sow, but in order to see e fruits, we must start changing gears frm e seed to the HARVEST!

jus came back frm a great time at orchard with my cg. loads of cold jokes and plenty of outbursts of laughter frm wayne hahaha.

really want to take this time to thank God for:

1. seth. someone that i can talk to because without him, i wouldnt have won e battle yesterdae.

2. kexin. for sending me e malestripper which made me laugh until i cried and until my whole face turned RED!!!! lols...

3. And to thank God for being with me, even though i maybe going through hell, but because of what Hes done on e Cross, HEAVEN is IN me! and no weapon formed against me shall prosper! ;)

ive seen how big E354 was cus Seth sent me a picture of u guys with e male cgl. when i look at it, it really stirs my heart to once again reach out..bcos e harvest is truly plentiful but e labourers are few, we have what the world dun have.....e only unselfish thing to do is to share the good news that we can have eternal life bcos of what Jesus has done on e cross. because of His love, he threw aside His glory and dwelled with imperfect ppl like us...

and bcos of Him, we can now have a blessed, successful, victorious and exciting life. indeed heaven is not jus a place after death, but an everyday encounter bcos WITH God, all things are possible....we will be e head and not e tail, above and not beneath, blessed in our coming in and blessed in our going out. =)

yay, my first FT1 lesson! lols. and 1 more day b4 exams over. for those whose exams are over....ppl like pammie and ke-ke, pls show mercy and love to this brother of urs... if not i tell mummy tt u bully me..:x *hmmph...LOL!

well, i dun have to put the entire FT1-L1 notes here but here are jus a few of e notes tt im tremendously blessed with:

-The higher u want to go, e deeper u have to dig (foundation).
-The Bible is the written word of God; Jesus is the personal/living word of God.
-If u love God, ull love His Word (Bible)

Your attitude towards God's WORD reveals your attitude towards GOD Himself!

You do not love God more than you love His Word.
You do not obey God more than you obey His Word.
You do not honor God more than you honor His Word.
You do not have room in your heart and life for God more than you have room for His Word!

-Age or status is not a factor in teachibility. We all learn frm various ppl. Its more than just about the substance, its about e attitude. e.g. A parent can learn frm a child, etc...

-Wickedness = (gk.) the naughtiness of a CHILD!!! -> an attitude that refuses to accept instructions and correction but constantly argues and fights back.

Laptop back! John's testimony

i jus got back my laptop, hehe praise God...jus in time for NF exam =) restarted about 5-6 times oredy due to updates and installation, etc. lol

well, john msg me thru msn yesterdae. he was sick and had to go for an injection. and he also lost his N-level entry proof. dat was bad....:(

but praise God, He is never late! when he came back he msg me again and said dat when he arrived at e clinic, e Dr said there's no need for an injection bcos he's been fully healed! praise God! :) also when he reached home, he found back his entry proof! =) yea....

indeed when God is FOR you, no one can be against you. whatever God calls for, He also provides for, He will make u the head and not e tail, above and nt beneath! blessed in ur coming in, blessed in ur goin out! xD

indeed call upon e name of Jesus and be saved ^_^ :))

The Heart of Worship

-The Holy of Holies in the tabernacle is measured 5m in length, by 5m in width and 5m in height. its e size of an average HDB bedroom.

-In it contains the ark of the covenant.

-3 things in e ark of the covenant: (which symbolises your HEART; Heart of worship)

1. Tablets of stone - 10 commandments the Moses brought down frm Mount Sinai.
-"If you love Me, you will love My commandments."
-We should look at the cross as our example:

CROSS: 2 beams
i) Vertical beam - U loving God wholeheartedly
ii) Horizontal beam - U loving people fervently

2. Golden pot of manna - special/HIDDEN bread from Heaven marinated under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
-This hidden bread is only reserved for true worshippers, worshippers with clean hands and a pure heart and not for the casual, average christian.
-It represents the hidden secrets of God, hidden truths and revelations that is reserved only for those who worship Him in spirit and in truth.

3. Aaron's rod that BUDDED. - a stick is merely a dead piece of wood, for it to blossom into flowers and almonds is a creative miracle.
-It symbolises the power of the Holy Spirit.

Apart from the ark of the covenant, on top of the ark is a mercy seat with 2 cherubims and shaped like a crown.

-A crown symbolises kingship, authority and power.
-When u enter into true worship, ur live will never be a failing life, a sad life, a low standard life, but a life of POWER and AUTHORITY! that when u begin to say to the mountain by faith be cast aside and e thrown into the sea, it shall be done as you say!

In times of crisis, when u begin to seek God with all ur heart, ur heart becomes open towards God like an empty reservoir waiting to be filled. When that happens, God begins to pour down His grace and mercy like a river of living water and filling your heart to overflowing.

-God uses these times of crisis to fill u with His mercy and grace so that in turn, u will be merciful and gracious to the people around u. e.g. ex-divorcees tend to be more understanding towards other divorcees, an ex-convict is more understanding to convicts, etc.

8 things about the Heart of Worship:

1. The heart of worship desires PERSONAL INTIMACY with God.
-God loves the world coporately but at the same time, He loves us individually.

2. The heart of worship longs to FEEL God.
-mt 13:44
-to 'know' is to have personal knowledge by EXPERIENCE.
-God doesnt just want u to know Him in your heart, He wants you to feel Him in your life, to have encounters with Him! And to sense His tangible presence.

-The Holy Spirit is like:
i) Fire - u sense His warmth
ii) Oil - u sense His flow
iii) Rain - u can feel Him falling on you
iv) Rushing wind - u sense His movement. When He passes u by, u can feel Him.
v) Atmosphere - when He's there, u know and u know and u know for sure, God is there.

3. The heart of worship unlocks Heaven's POWER.
-1 touch from God and your life will never be the same again.

4. The heart of worship loves God's COMMANDMENTS.
-psm 40:8

5. The heart of worship seeks God's HIDDEN TRUTHS.
-God doesnt give His people 2nd-hand revelations, if God wants to speak, He'll speak DIRECTLY to you.
-Mt 13:44
-You want God's special/hidden truths? There is a price to pay.
-Worship is a SACRIFICE.

6. The heart of worship yearns the power of the HOLY SPIRIT.
-Have a hunger for spiritual things, for the things of God.

7. The heart of worship is a MERCIFUL heart.
-exo 34:6-7, 2 cor 1:3-4
-The greatest revelation of God is that God is a merciful God, full of grace.

-BUT...dont be fooled by crazy grace teachings which tell u dun need the law, the commandments, and that now that ure saved by grace, u can sin even more bcos more grace will e added to u.

-IN truth, e more u choose to live your own life your own way, e more itll rob u of the grace and the mercy of God! Bccause only those with clean hands and a pure heart will hear from God.

PS: only e Devil and some clown can come up with such a ridiculous doctrine that u can sin even more...woot. more like a doctrine of Satan lols...when i first heard it i was like...huh!?! got such thing one ah? haha. besides, God cannot go against Himself, like what Jesus said, a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. ;)

8. The heart of worship RULES and REIGNS with Christ.
-num 7:89
-a person with a heart of mercy will hear God's voice.
-worship is COMMUNION -> coming into union with God.

-when our lives are entwined with God to such a great extent, when we abide in God and He in us, our DESIRES, our WILL, our PERSONALITY, our WORDS, our HEART mixes with God's and we become ONE in union.

-like Abraham its no longer we asking God what do u want me to do, but it is God asking US, "What do you want me to do for you?"!!! Like abraham, God discusses His ideas with Abraham and asked for his opinions before carrying them out.

THOUGHTS

Dont just be a believer, be a DISCIPLE! Dont just worship God with songs, worship Him with your HEART, in SPIRIT and in TRUTH. Lets hunger for more of God's presence! Dont jus praise God in good times, but oso in bad times.

If jesus is not your Lord of all He's not your Lord at all. Its time we grow into maturity with God, lets not feed on milk or bread anymore, lets go for solid food! :) Like wad pastor said, if u truly have a heart of worship, then itll be impossible for u to backslide bcos worship is communion. :D

Lets come to a point in our lives, where we and God become one in union, where whatever we say, WILL come to pass. Itll be as if God has spoken those words Himself. Lets come to a level where we are serious with God and with the things of the Spirit.

Like Abraham, lets be friends of God. Lets go to THAT level where God begins to share His deepest secrets with His children, where God will listen to us to do what we say because we share that level of intimacy with God! =)

it was great. though e songs were a BIT the fast...nevertheless, i experienced e tangible presence of God. ;) i was tearing in God's presence during worship...it was a wonderful experience. :) e message was great too.

today woke up at 6, so happy first time, im EARLY! then....

dozed off at 7 without knowing. woke up at 830am and my Database paper starts at 9!!!!!! i was like, no no no no no....no God...not again...l0l. so i prayed and i left house at around 840am. by right we shld e dere at least 15min b4 e paper starts....

but God was faithful...by His power and grace i took a cab which arrived e moment i arrived at e road side, as if it was expecting me..^^ and thanks to God i reached at 858am!!!!! yes! indeed GOd is NEVER later....but WE have to make e decision to stay on course, and finish STRONG ;)

tomoro got OOP paper. im using my mum's lappy now...on 56k T_T ill try to chiong. im at e point where e moment God takes 1 step backwards, im doomed and im sure to fail. im at tt stage where its impossible to pass even if i chiong, but WITH God ALL things r possible! :D

finally ive received news that my laptop is ready for collection! yeah!!!!! on monday....jus in time for NF. muahahaha. who knows after exam scully crash again :x lol

accompanied wendy to boonlay jus now cus she goin for S1 and im goin home so might as well go together. we were like challenging time cus she was late for svc. haha it was quite funny lol.
sunday is super sunday, having CGvsCG telematch and youth outreach at NTU after svc. i have 2 feelings, excited and EVEN MORE STRESSED and HEART PAIN! T.T

already im facing this "mugging without a mug" problem and is like i can fail any moment den suddenly good timing gt youth outreach lol...*Sobs struggling whether to go or not. i mean if my mum returns her laptop to her office tomoro, den ill have to find somewhere or someone's hse where i can do my revision, at e same time, itll be very late after super sunday and i might not be able to get anyone to lend me his/her hse. T_T

seriously, no can understand how much stress im goin thru now...facing 4 papers and unable to do anything about it. that sense of helplessness. u wont wanna noe how much info ive recapped. its as good as NOTHING i tell you! T_T ppl say revise...HOW TO REVISE? lol. home pc no net cus driver down, laptop can use net bt no laptop...sigh.

oh wells...guess ill go this sunday. it wont make any difference in my results anyway. ill jus leave it to God. even if i fail, ill still love God with all of my heart. till death do us part, nothing can separate me from the love of God ^^

Quiet time frm 230am-530am woot...

jus finished my qt. and its 5:31am now. ZzZ....tink ill go sleep after this. ive nv had quiet time so long.

this QT was special, it was more of lingering in God's presence, jus enjoying His presence and His company...jus pouring out my heart to Him and jus, being with Him. i felt happy, i feel so strengthened. i treasure every moment i spend time with God.

though nothing BIG really happened like an encounter or anything, but i jus couldnt stop myself frm enjoying His presence, i wanted more.

well, even though i didnt feel anything breaking through yet, yet i know in the realm of the Spirit, something has happened bcos of my sacrifice of my time, of my sleep, of my energy and of my heart.

like abraham, when he had e right heart of sacrifice, God said i will make your descendents like e sands on e seashore and like e stars in e sky! when Jesus offered up His life, humanity has e privilege to receive salvation and Jesus sat on e right hand of the Father.

everything happens bcos of a sacrifice. i know time will reveal everything to me. right now ill jus have a nice sleep and tomoro if i dun have a laptop/comp, den ill jus spend time with God again. :)

indeed we fast not jus for ourselves, but for breakthroughs and revivals! yea...^^

service was great! and yea, i finally update. and i wont be for the next few days...no....not bcos of exam, but bcos of a TOSHIBA laptop dat has lots of experience and is gifted in e area of breaking down at the right times. ^_^

now...to get back on track...i really like what pastor Tan said, "Disappointment is like a seed. It grows downwards and rootens itself inward in ur heart before manifesting itself outside. That is why you dont see the effects until it is too late. That is why we have to deal with disappointments, resentment, bitterness, etc, before it is too late."

-purpose is the original intent of the Creator for the creation.
-purpose is in the mind of the Creator. that is why we dont look for our purpose in people or in the world. even if we do find it, you only find it failing.
-the world may pass away but God's words will never pass away. -> anything not from God will not last because God didnt SPEAK it out.

-Everything God placed in your life, e.g. education, career, friends, etc is jus a means to an end. for example, money is just simply a means to an end.
-Idolatry is when you do not focus on God but on these/the means.
-your destiny is your destination
-your destination is your purpose

-'foreknew' = 'fore'(before) + 'knew'(knowledge')
-before u were born, before time began, God had already created you in Christ's image and likeness...to be conformed to His image and likeness.
-THEREFORE, anything less than Christ is below its conformity. -> God WANTS us to be like His Son in every way!

-God created you with glory in His mind, like His Son. He saw you the way He saw His Son.

-God will give you the DESIRE and the POWER to do that which PLEASES Him.
e.g. the desire the prosper and be a blessing, the desire to heal e sick, etc.
-Whatever God calls for, He also provides for. Whatever God has started, He will ensure its completion!

-God begins with the end in mind before starting to work in your lives. -> This is what it means to have a vision/dream.
-We CAN operate in faith the way God operated in!
-The purpose will NEVER change, but somewhere along the way, the plans/means WILL change. -> Life is never smooth sailing, its always bumpy.

-Predestination is knowing where you are going and where you'll end WITHOUT knowing how you'll get there.
-Our entire lives is like a flight from birth to our destiny.
-We have the ticket (our destination, in God of course), but really...we will never move UNLESS we step into the plane. And the Pilot is the Holy Spirit.

-There WILL be turbulences, we WILL be disappinted, but in times like these, we should fasten our seat belts, fight the good fight of faith and TRUST the Pilot. -> we dun go crashing into the cockpit and demand that we steer the plane outselves. (DONT hijack your own life, and dun try to be smart and fly the plane if u dont know how to).

-The Holy Spirit, your pilot, has a flight plan for your life.
-Dont try to create your own flight plan.
-Disappointments can hijack your life
-Disappointment = Expectation - Reality (difference)
-Disappointment -> Resentment -> Bitterness

-Heb 12:15-17

-disappointment can overshadow your life. -> eventually it develops a care-less attitude.
-overshadow = exceed in importance.
-Cure for bitterness: FORGIVENESS
-forgiveness shld be given freely, as a gift, not a reward where u expect people to earn it! Its called grace.

-How to forgive freely and abundantly? Its easy to forgive over and over when e situation is valuable to you. -> in other words (e.g. if a relationship is not valuable to you, its hard to forgive. thats how u tell genuine relationship apart ;))
-luk 17:1-6; 7-10
-one thing the Bible claimed impossible: IT IS IMPOSSIBLE THAT YOU WONT BE OFFENDED...its a SURE GUARENTEE.

-You need faith to forgive, faith in the person tt he/she will change. Forgive just as God forgave u. Because He had faith that you will change, and bcos He values His relationship with you. =)

I AM HEALED! YAY!!!!!!! LOLZ...

so exciting, this morning as i seh myself to wake up, before i elft for NF retest, i started to listen to the Cross CD, and though weak and aching me whole body may be, i praised and worshipped God.

little did i know, after i left for sch, my diarrhoea stopped, and now, im COMPLETELY HEALED! ;)

and i passed my NF test lolz...but theres still room for improvement =) exams start next wk. jia you people! xD ^_^

Sick....really really sick....

it all started today afternoon as i was in e midst of a 3-day fast. T_T now having fever, flu, cold, headache and diarrhoea, feel like vomitting, feel like a rotting corpse now...>< burning hot, nauseous, pain, weeeeaaaakkkkk.....

despite e awful pain i managed to pull off the prayer meeting with e110 ad e354 and my cg w318 successfully. but was stuck in e traffic at rochor highway for 30minutes! eventually reached at 8pm instead of 730pm.

later is my NF re-test, and have to submit my IS report too, and EXAMS next week! arrgh. in the midst of all im going through, i can boldly say, "Jesus I LOVE YOU!". even when my life's at pit bottom i will shout to the Heavens, "I LOVE YOU!", even in times of pain, when most people, curse andswear to God, i will say, "I LOVE YOU!".

after all the sacrifices ive made, even if i dont receive anything in return i will still say, "I LOVE YOU". even when i dont feel you AT ALL, i can boldly declare, "I LOVE YOU"....we are inseparable, in good times and bad times, in sickness in health, till eternity we will never part. in my sickly body i wanna jump and praise You, i wanna seek your Face and worship you...

though i am weak, i can say that I AM STRONG. satan, you failed! you failed uber badly, just give up man...:p mebbe you shld have some brains once in awhile....
