Men's Meeting
It was fiery, awesome, phenomenal! Its better than emerge I tell you. lol.
The games were insane, from the fastest person to strip the shirt like the hulk, to crazy PT of 100 pushups, 100 situps, 80 berpes, and lastly, to our very own bruce lee LOL. The winner really had a bruce lee look - The most number of wooden planks you can break.
It was so thrilling, these guys wore gloves and pounded through the wood like paper, then next thing you know, ps phil wanna show e guys how strong an old man is, lol..he took I think 2-3 planks together and smashed them with his bare fists! No glove! LOL! omg.
Anyway, message was about warfare.
And warfare it was indeed. But first, I just wanna say that PnW with C3 was awesome! The hall was dark, only the colored spotlights were on! Emerge style! The moment the worship song kicked in, tears were in my eyes. Even though some songs we had to catch the lyrics cus we never sang them before, nevertheless, it was awesome.
The presence of God was so thick, it was as if a giant slayer has entered the house. I mean, such awe, some glory, such power, just standing there made you feel as if, this is it man, dont mess with God!
We sang, we cheered, we clapped, we shouted and cried, yet the amazing thing is, in an all guys setting, almost every guy had his hands lifted up straight, 180 degrees! It was a phenomenal experience, the expressiveness of the guys.
In such an environment where we feel totally free to be ourselves, without the need to hold back, without the need to be 'masculine', we came to God, just as we are, broken, in need, lacking, desperate, thirsty, worn out, the things we go through that we guys sometimes hide from the girls, in order to be accepted, in order to be 'approved' as men...we emptied ourselves before the very presence of God...
The band was loud, man the electric guitar rocked the house! Everyone was singing loud, we didnt feel we had to hold back, the people beside were so loud, that we needed to rise up even more, just to hear ourselves.
During the offering message, ps phil already prophesied! It was awesome. The end time army, a new generation of men that will show manhood to the world and bring revival!
Message was simple, yet impactful. And btw, the overflow went to level 4 and the lobby!!
In the world today people have 'feminized' the church. Thinking that because the church is a bride, that it should be a place where its lovey dovey, sweet and gentle. Yes we should, but more than that..no, Jesus didnt have a male head and a female body! That would be gross!
Just as the church represents the body of Christ, the men must rise up to the occasion. That is why we dont sing songs like, "Ohhhhhh sweeeeeeet Jeeeeeesus, my daaaaarrrrling Jesus...." Come on...!!! TELL THE WORLD THAT JESUS LIVES!
Stop using the word of God as food, or as comfort, take the word, its time we turn it into a double-edged sword and slay the enemy! Attack, fight and win!
When we started praying the whole house shook man I tell you...the aggressiveness, the holy anger to slay the demons, to cut them up with the word of God until they are unrecognizable, to tear them apart to shreds! That monstrous, 'murderous' instinct deep down in every men, to not give in without a fight, was evident in many as we began spiritual warfare that night.
I tell you whole of hell trembled. Because we men are not just here to bring comfort to people, nonono, we will love like never before, we will give generously like never before, we will take down our enemy and crush him under our toes.
Take the sword, prepare for war!
Problems are not just there to make you develop your character,
Problems are there to awaken the SLAYER inside of you!
In Genesis, God said everything was good. The one thing He said it was NOT good, was that it wasnt good for man to be alone.
I know what he meant, because many times, Im like that. But what choice I have? This is ns, every guy has to go through it. A man who is alone, cannot accomplish much.
Yet, I thank God, despite being alone at times, He has done so much through me. I just cant imagine the possbilities and the legacy Ill leave behind if Im not alone.
When you speak the Word of God, you reprogram your life.
When you have a problem, dont always ask your leader/pastor to pray,
YOU pray! God is asking you to WAKE UP!!! Take the Sword and cut the enemy!
David slew one giant, Goliath.
But his men who hanged around him, those who became involved in his life,
Slew the remaining of Goliath's family! They all became giant slayers, because they caught hold of something from David, they caught the same giant-slaying spirit.
Courage is not just standing for Jesus,
Courage is standing for the one Jesus chooses!
The devil has declared war on us, what are we going to do about it?
