The Human Heart / Fear
Gen 3:8-10
The heart is the motivational centre of our lives.
Out of the heart will spring forth the issues of life -> Issues = geographical boundaries; limitations; how far you'll go.
Therefore, guard your heart at all times. -> out of the abundance of your heart, the mouth speaks.
1) Human behavior is not just the result of the brain, it comes from the heart.
-It is SCIENTIFICALL PROVEN, when a patient goes for a heart transplant, he inherits e person's emotions and memories.
2) Just as the brain processes, so does the heart.
-Before the brain was formed, was the heart. And it is able to pump on its own. -> scientificically proven.
3) Just like the brain has memory, so does the heart.
-The heart attaches emotions/feelings to memories, whereas the brain processes facts/information.
-The heart rules the brain, you've learnt to feel before you learn to think. Every infant goes through that.
The most powerful negative emotion is FEAR.
1) Fear is the first emotion experienced by man after he sinned.
-Heb 2:14-15
-DEATH has to do with FAILURE. -> The power of death is the FEAR of FAILURE.
2) Fear is the chief emotion used by Satan to ROB you of the potential inside of you.
-In the absence of fear, you have: love, power, sound mind.
-Mk 6:45-48 -> God leaves storms in our life for US to calm/do something about it.
The problem is not the problem/storm, but FEAR.
3) Fear PARALYZES you.
-Job 3:25, 1:5, mt25:24-25
-Just as you attract what you have faith for, you also ATTRACT what you fear! -> they are BOTH magnets.
-Fear causes you to bury your talents and gifts and take them to the grave with you.
-The devil knows the moment you have fear in you, you are doomed! because you will never accomplish anything and stay put and be paralyzed.
4) Fear makes it easy for you to BLAME others for your OWN failures.
-Fear draws you away from commitment.
-Faith comes by hearing and hearing from the Word of God (Rhema).
-Slavery makes you dependent on the oppressor.
-Fear masks laziness.
-1 Jhn 4:16-18
-Your love is NOT perfect as long as you have fear!
-abba = daddy -> its the most intimate form of relationship with God. to know that God loves you the way He loved Jesus.
-Faith works by LOVE!
-To have faith and to love someone is to be FULLY CONVINCED that everything will go well with that person. not just 99.99999%, but 100%! If you love God, why do you still fear?
-There is no fear in love, but PERFECT love drives out fear!
THOUGHTS
went to T2(terminal 2) after svc today. it was greeeat! i was so touched and so blessed and i loved God even more! i dun just want to be God's friend, i want GOd to be my Abba! =) i want that closeness with Him like never before! ^^
at T2 we ate at e staff canteen upstairs. den celebrated bao's bdae at BK. haha expo flooded with CHC and FCBC peeps. after svc MRT so jam pack LOL! go changi also jam pack! hahahas! l0l
after dat frm BK we went to orchard to play pool with zack, wendy, huizin, tricia, baoie and pam (sry pam if in anyway i made u feel bored or left out...^^). i hit in 5 balls today considered not bad for my first try. got used to it after e first attempt/shot. huixin so funny, hahaha...whole day make ppl laugh lolz. after dat watched Perhaps Love with sharon, liwen, wayne, lionel and baoie.
interesting storyline....although my literature i got A2, some parts i still dun get it hahaha. we were like talkin abt it all e way, on our way back to the car and MRT/bus. l0l. had a great time with my brothers and sisters today. =))
cant believe i spent 10 bucks like that woot lol. andrew! wake up ur idea! its building fund and ure giving xxxx amt. LOL! cant believe after today's msg, 'dont fear', wa i really dun fear sia, abt my finances, dunno whether gd or not oso...hahahahaha! =p
