finally finished my cel grp series on 12 steps to a gd yr:
1. Let us set a new resolution
2. Let us be diligent
3. Let us hold on fast to our confession
4. Let us draw near to the Throne with confidence
5. Let us draw near to God
6. Let us go on to perfection
7. Let us hold fast to our faith without wavering
8. Let us consider one another
9. Let us have grace
10. Let us run the race with endurance
11. Let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God
12. Let us go forth to him!!
had great message today abt divine healing:
*WHY WE BELIEVE IN DIVINE HEALING*
1. God is a HEALER
-He is consistent in His nature, e.g. He emphasises who He is time and time again.
2. Jesus died for our PHYSICAL HEALING
-studies have shown that there are 40 different categories of diseases in the world, throat problems, cancer, heart problems, etc.
-Jesus during the scourge bore 40 strikes...interestingly, each scourge for each category of sickness.
3. Jesus had a powerful HEALING ministry
-1 in 5 verses in the Gospel have to do with healing of physical/mental illness. e.g. Jesus talk talk talk taLk heal, walk walk walk walk heal, teach teach teach teach heal...etc.
4. Healing is not always CONSTANT.
-healing may not necessarily be instant, be the road to recovery is assured to him who believes.
-God has His timing, at the right time, the right Peter/Paul will come into ur life and heal you.
5. God uses DOCTORS and MEDICINE to cure sicknesses
-we are on the same team, we fight the same enemy.
***WHY AREN'T PEOPLE HEALED***
1. Lack of FAITH for healing.
-unbelief cuts off e miracles of God.
-we dun see to believe, faith is believing, THEN see!
God's presence travels thru an atmosphere of worship, but God's POWER travels thru an atmosphere of FAITH
2. HIDDEN HINDRANCES that are not dealt with.
-be it unconfessed sins, bitterness, anguish, unforgivess, PRIDE!!!
-outside they may look ready to receive God's miracle, but deep down there are matters of the heart and God sees them. God's power is holy, pure, and it will not work on a messy heart. God's power will have no effect even if e power had e ability to raise the dead!
3. POOR MANAGEMENT of the healing body.
-e.g. asking God to heal u of lung cancer so that u can smoke more....etc.
4. We live in an IMPERFECT, BROKEN DOWN world.
-God doenst give u sickness to teach u a lesson, this is WORLDY thinking!! sickness is of e Devil.
-its as good as saying that there is the power of sickness of GOd!!! DO NOT BLESPHEME the HOLY Spirit...there is no sickness in GOD....
5. SOVEREIGNTY of God.
-GOd is wise, has His timing. He knows everything.
-He doenst want u to put too much trust in man, but to trust in Him.
e.g. when u fall sick who is the FIRST u turn to? is it ur fren? is it ur doctor? Turn to God FIRST, cuz He is EXCITED to heal you, if u LET Him...and do not doubt. e moment u even think of a doubt....e power cuts off...
*WHAT TO EXPECT IN "BENNY HINN HEALING CRUSADE"?*
1. Working with the anointing.
-atmosphere of faith is built up, so that God's power can work.
2. Exciting but LONG services.
-God will show up at a certain time...when there is e atmosphere for God to move.
-do not leave at 7.29pm and later at 7.30pm God shows up.
3. Lots of focus on the man of God
-to build up faith, confidence, etc.
4. Lots of TESTIMONIES to build faith.
-power of Satan/power of death is overcome by our TESTIMONY...
***5. CRITICS and MOCKERS in the face of genuine healing.
-this is a 500% guarantee! whenever GOd shows up...e Devil shows up as e accuser....ExTra! people will mock, "this is fake!", etc...but take heed, these are the ones who eventually receive NOTHING..
6. UNUSUAL miracles.
-God wants us to get excited...He wants ot impress His children whom He love with unusual miracles. God is not a boring God!
7. Life TRANSFORMATION
-because there was an ENCOUNTER with God.
i like e true story told by Ps. Kong on how there was once a woman who had cancer, FINAL stage. She tried all e doctors, chinese physicians, etc. But there was no hope. THen she decided to try God. So she came to CHC during a healing service. and all the cancer, FINAL stage, ALL the cancer cells was totally gone few days later!!!...praise God!
but the sad thing is...after she got her miracle...she went to worship and pray to her idols, of stone, wood, metal, foreign gods and thanked them. little did she know, instead of committing her life to God bcos she owed Him her life, she unnoticably, by praying to her gods, open the doors of Satan and within days, e FULL stage cancer came back and she died...
