Typhoons and Hurricanes

Typhoons and Hurricanes. They're part of nature and part of the law in the universe that binds all things together.

Even the strongest brick house can be blown away when the storms hit.
The highest building can be reduced to rubble.

When the storms of life come, are you those who get blown away?
Are you those who end up too busy or preoccupied with life?

But there are those that never shake or crumble.

All of us must learn from the trees.

Every seed dies and goes deep into the ground FIRST before sprouting upwards.

All of us must learn from construction workers.

Every project starts with the foundation first.
Even if its an underground building, they dig even deeper than basement 4, then move upwards.
How many of us, actually dug down before we built up?
How many of us are so eager to fulfill our dreams and aspirations, only to realise we cant finish what we started?
How many of us go through the motion and yet it seems everything is in vain?

Common grace.

You dont have to look far away for God.
He is there. Right where you are.
The kingdom of God is here; is now.

Look at the trees around you. Man is likened to a tree.
Look at the skyscrapers around you. The church is likened to a city set on a hill.

I remembered the 2 graphs Dr AR Bernard drew on the board the last time he came.

One graph is our progress in life.
The other, is our spiritual progress.
(2 curves on one graph)

There can never be a huge gap. Your success in life must be backed and supported by the spiritual curve.

You cannot excel in one and neglect the other.
Your life can only prosper to the extent your soul prospers.
(This includes health as well. It has been proven long ago that 80% of all sicknesses and diseases are psychosomatic. Caused by stress and mental related issues.)

God didnt just call us to be great dreamers and aspirers,
He called us to be good finishers.

The journey is always more important than the destination.

Its not about how high you go, its about how deep you dig.

Its not about how many storms you've encountered,
Its about how you have stayed still in any given storm.

Who is in the cockpit of your life?

Is it your idol?
Is it your friend?
Is it your leader?
Is it even you?
Or is it God?

Dont let a plane take off unless you're certain it has enough fuel to last the journey. - Dr Kim Sunghae Cho
