Binaural recording using holophonics
Okay, Ive recently found this really cool sound technology. As stated in my title.
Read up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binaural_recording for more info.
Basically, its 3D sound. There is an audio sample there. But in order for the 3D effect to work, you gotta use stereo earphones/headphones.
Basically it uses a 'dummyhead' to record sounds in a live setting.
What you hear is exactly what the 'dummyhead' is hearing. So in other words, its exactly as how it sounds like, to be there!
Not only your brain can process locations of objects or people just by hearing alone, you can also 'visualise' the distance. Just by hearing, you can tell where a person is..and how far. :O
Oh, and when listening to the sample, close your eyes.
Its meant to play an 'audio illusion'.
I was thinking, man..songs and games should be recorded in holophonic! But its some expensive technology. =/
This video is a holophonic project. The microphone is placed in a real barber shop. Listen with earphones and with ur eyes closed.
No. This is NOT a screamer. Expensive projects like holophonic technology are not things people shld mess around with =/
And please stop my imeem song before listening..obvious. lol.
