Service, SMARTER Goals

Service was great. Its good to be back in the house of God! It really is good to be kneeling in the presence of God once again. This is a really good song. Beautiful saviour by planetshakers. One thing I like about PS, is that their worship is 'high' and expressive! Thats what its all about..coming boldly to the presence of God.

Sermon was good. Setting SMARTER goals. People of the world set SMART goals, but because we have God, we set SMARTER goals! Hahaha.

Specific - clear goals lead to solid destinations. Know exactly what you want. How can you have what you want if you dont even know what you want?

Measurable - How do you measure your success? Even if you fail, at least you know how far short you've fallen so that you can improve the next time, and you'll know how much more effort you need.

Gauge yourself.

Action plan - this speaks for itself. No explanation needed. Wishing and hoping things to happen wont work! There are 3 kinds of people:

Those who make things happen.
Those who watch things happen.
Those who wondered what happened.

Realistic - Dont set goals you cant achieve. Yes we depend on God..but not all the time we feel His anointing/power. Not everytime we have a miracle? If God doesnt move, are you still able to accomplish it?

Time conscious - There's a saying: A deadline is the greatest motivation in life. How true. With a time frame, you will 'wake up', its harder for you to procrastinate!

Expectation management - Be flexible. If a plan is failing, dont hesitate to change or to come up with a backup plan. Dont be stupid, be wise! Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result!

Do your best and let God do the rest.

Revelation - What has God specifically spoken to you? Heaven and earth will pass away, but His word will never pass away. The moment God speaks, no angel, no demon, no person on the face of the earth can stop it from coming to pass.

Likewise, if God didnt speak the Word, then the Devil can come and do whatever he wants.

The biggest question in life is: What am I here for?

But we saved. Therefore, the more appropriate question now would be: WHOM am I here for? Its no longer about ourselves! Yes, we can prosper, we can be in health, we can excel in studies, develop our gifts, fulfill our potential..

But how can you use it to serve the purposes of God and to fulfill your calling?

You get what you focus on.
God is the director, we are the scriptwriters!
If you fail to plan, you plan to fail!

Fellowship at bugis was good. Even though I was feeling a little ZZZ. lol. Welcome back Jonathan Ho Wen Rui! haha. Great to see you again! The duck rice there is ownage! Just opposite Bugis Junction. $3.50 with peanuts and taukua, the soup rocks too.

Today I officially ended my 3/12..and I really thank God for blessing my duck rice with more egg than others! Hahaha! Okay dont jealous lol. Go fast and pray and you'll experience the miracle and encounters of God :D I can say that because Ive been there, done that, experienced it for myself :)

That doesnt mean you dont have to pay a price. This 3 days have been challenging, draining, tiring and a little depressing. Like ps said, no cross, no crown!

After that went to the 2 storey Mac near Raffles City and chilled out there with strawberry sundae :D Super sweet! OMG. I think Im gonna die..hahaha. Was good.

First time we went home so late lol..its good we had everyone who came today who had time to fellowship. We could go to town and not worry about last train, cause it will take some time for the train to reach cityhall. Haha.

This is a special edition post, why? Because Ill be doing notes for...

"Finding the right partner" by Ps Kong! Hahaha..yes I just read it, its really good. Im so blessed by it! I didnt hear him preach on this before! LOL. But its really good. If you have Harvest Times, you should go and read.

But for those who are overseas or couldnt make it for service this week, I shall do you a favor by summarizing it to the best I can and provide all the critical notes. :D Last time in JW we had 6 services. On days with guest speakers I would take down all 6 sermon notes cause all the sermons were different! And I would type it out. Its still in my archives somewhere :D

I shall separate the entries because you must find it really long to read 2 sets of notes all at once! hahaha.
