Richard Roberts Day 02 (Serving)

well, theres not gonna be much on this post cus i was serving on tt day and ive only managed to catch a glimpse of e sermon. btw, i havent said in my prev post: r.roberts can really sing! man, come to think he used to be a nightclub singer..hahas =) he really has a strong vocal voice ;)

sermon's on the gifts of e HS. so heres e notes:

-The gifts of the HS are SOVEREIGN, they dont belong to us.
-Dont say so-and-so has the gift of this-and-that, the person does NOT have e gift, but e person OPERATES e gift which comes from God, THROUGH the HS.
-God does things the way He wants it, how He wants it, who He wants it done to and WHEN He wants it done.

REVELATION GIFTS - gifts that REVEAL

1) Word of Wisdom - Supernatural understanding of a given situation when human understanding ceases.

-1 kings 17, jhn 8
-several gifts can operate at e same time.
-dont reason with your head, obey with your heart.

2) Word of Knowledge - Supernatural information that is not available in the natural realm

-2 kings 6, jhn 4
-dont say the OT is irrelevant or that e NT came to replace e OT. e NT didnt come to replace e OT, but to FULFILL IT!
-if u love God's Word, then embrace the ENTIRE COUNSEL of God, dont live a selective life! (choose to believe what you feel best benefits you, etc...)

3) Discerning of Spirits - NOT thoughts

-acts 16
-be quick to obey even when it doesnt make sense.
-it is sovereign, God is in charge and He decides who and what to reveal the spirit of a given person to...not you.

POWER GIFTS

1) Gifts of Healings (PLURAL) - there are diff GIFTS of HEALINGS

-acts 19:11-12, acts 3
-it is a common gift.
-apart from blessing us, the next most easiest thing God can do is to heal.

2) Working of miracles - supernatural intervention by e HS to change/alter a situation.

-e.g. frm a group of 20 youths with nothing but a dream, becoming a strong local body of 20,000 is not e work of a man, but of God; a miracle.
-Josh 10

3) Gift of Faith - supernatural faith that takes over human faith.

-it is a measure of GOD'S OWN FAITH.
-e devil is afraid of this gift, because if God speaks, nothing can stop it from coming to pass.
-manifestation is a 100% guarantee (even more :D)
-sovereign gift, has its own timing.

VOCAL GIFTS - these work together

1) Gift of prophecy - hearing what God is saying and delivering it.

-it points e way, builds faith, encourages, strengthens, etc..
-God is in charge and I'm not!
-God works/speaks through people most of the time.

2) GIFT of tongues - this is NOT the daily, devotional prayer tongue that every believer baptized in e HS has e right to.

3) Interpretation of tongues - works together with e GIFT of tongues.

-strengthens/builds e congregation. always refer to e target audience.
-rom 8:26
-every gift is sovereign. God decides anything and everything!


MINISTRY

reached expo at 7am but hall8 wasnt open yet. waited for e guy to come and open. while waiting, 2 more cabs arrived and more ppl camped outside e back of hall8 haha. although i was physically tired, having slept only 1.5-2hrs e night b4...but i was excited.

since wed ive not slept well.

wed - do IHP, BS (2 hr lesson on res of e dead)
thurs - wake up at 6, go sch till 6 plus, 10-15min to practise for cg. slept after 12am
fri - do IHP, prepare for cg again, different songs, go for cg, reached home after 1130pm
sat - make-up guitar class, go svc, reach home after 11pm-12am
sun - woke up 4am. pray. go for ministry, end at 3 plus.

and here i am, preparing to go sch later to install software for my IHP. might be havin guitar class, or movie. we'll see what happens.

now, back to my ministry, few things happened. conf rm 2 was loud and disruptive again, this time, the same brother who had been 'blasting' e sound for more than 2 times before (if i could rem), from what i heard frm lynn, as he was abt to adjust the console volume again, zhun-zhun pastor tan came in, saw him and u-know-e-rest. hahas.

of course henry, like pastor tan, wasnt happy. partly also bcos no one was monitoring the level. but frm what i know, even if e snd lvls were monitored, e same brother frm childrens' church in rm2 will increase e volume time and time again. then when we explained to henry wad happened he was like laughing lol...cus it was at e unluckiest time...tt pastor tan came into conf rm2 and 'headshot' e guy trying to play with e volume...

cus most of e time, actually, all of e time is e soundcrew kena scolding by either henry or pastor.

didnt really witnessed the scene so i dun know much on what actually happened, but tts abt it lols. we were like, thank God! lols. b4 tt i was at hall7 sun's farewell thingy. and i was helping to tear down e place. and for 5 minutes i was standing right beside Sun when she came down and went behind e mini stage.

WHAT WAS I DOING!?! for FIVE MINUTES! 300 seconds i was standing right next to her and i was doing nothing about it! arrgh...nooooo...lol! what was i thinking man..lol. anyways, i helped move e speakers back to hall8.

after tt met up with mindy my IC for 'debriefing'. theres really a lot we can learn. and i really appreciate Joyce for really being someone who is able to lead and to motivate. although she may be strict or fierce at times, i really appreciate it. esp today when she was talking to us..and pointing out my mistake tt i did during e svc.

and she was saying, that she wont just anyhow say things jus bcos she feels like it, but she does things e way e HS wants her to do it. and when she told me that im gonna be more than a leader, tt she sees me leading more than 5 celgrps..something hit my spirit man and i felt e presence of God burning in my heart...

at tt point in time, it was as if she prophesied over me..and i jus felt it sinking deep into my spirit man, ull be a celgrp leader...and currently im already a celgrp guitarist for TWO celgrps. if u wanna talk abt e GIFT of faith, for that few seconds i had e GIFT of faith, 100% no doubt, that i will be a celgrp leader one day, leading multiple celgrps.

i mean, it had occurred to me in my thoughts once or twice b4, to lead a celgrp. but ive nv felt it so strong until today! I mean, Joyce is frm bible sch as well, she has e experience to move and lead e way she leads today and im jus so filled with respect.

my life will never be e same again...
